Tokyo Tatemono to Host Inaugural “Discussing Fintech with Global Leaders” Forum on March 7 in Yaesu, Tokyo
In Parallel with Open Day of Coworking Facilities along Eitai-dori Avenue, Tokyo’s “Financial Corridor”
Tokyo Tatemono Co., Ltd. (Head Office: Chuo-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director, President & Chief Executive Officer: Hitoshi Nomura; hereinafter “Tokyo Tatemono”), hereby announces that it will host the forum “Addressing Fintech with Global Leaders—Unlocking the Future of the Financial Sector: Web3 and DX Reskilling” for the first time on Thursday, March 7, in Yaesu, Tokyo, in conjunction with this year’s inaugural Japan Fintech Week 2024 organized by the Financial Services Agency. As a parallel event, it will also host “Eitai-dori Avenue Open Day: Working along Tokyo’s Financial Corridor,” which will make coworking facilities and other activity hubs near Eitai-dori Avenue, known as Tokyo’s “financial corridor,” open to the public.
Context of Events
Tokyo Tatemono is engaging in efforts to attract a diverse range of companies and human resources to the Yaesu-Nihonbashi-Kyobashi (YNK) area in front of Tokyo Station, including through participation in several large-scale joint redevelopment projects. One of these, the “Type 1 Urban Redevelopment Project for the Yaesu 1-chome North Area” (hereinafter “Gofukubashi Project”), in which Tokyo Tatemono is participating as a member of an urban redevelopment association, is taking place along Eitai-dori Avenue, which connects the Otemachi and Kabutocho districts where key financial players are concentrated, leading it to be known as a financial corridor. This area has been designated as a national strategic special zone intended to enhance international competitiveness through measures such as the development of facilities to support highly skilled financial professionals and a continuous waterfront space along the Nihonbashi River.
On the back of its plans to develop a facility to support highly skilled financial professionals under the aforementioned Gofukubashi Project, as well as its signing of a collaboration agreement with the fintech ecosystem builder Elevandi Japan, Ltd. (Head Office: Chuo-ku, Tokyo; CEO: Takeshi Kito; hereinafter “Elevandi Japan”), in October 2023 in order to contribute to the building of a fintech community in the global financial city of Tokyo, Tokyo Tatemono will utilize Japan Fintech Week 2024 as a chance to hold side events and thereby contribute to the stimulation of Tokyo’s fintech ecosystem, along with further igniting Japan Fintech Week 2024.
